Ructions!

Hi Everyone!

Well, what a messy few days its been! I recently have found out that Fun Home is closing on Broadway and I am gutted. This is nearly as sad as when I found out glee was ending after season 6 and the ending of Orange is the New Black (Season 4)! Why are such fabulous shows been closing recently on Broadway and in the West End, I mean, Bend it Like Beckham, Miss Saigon, Billy Elliot and so many more! Whereas Hamilton is still running and getting a West End Transfer like I don't understand the huge craze and why everyones obsessed with it. There are so many more amazing shows that aren't running anywhere and should be getting some sort of revival, for example: Parade, Company, Merrily We Roll Along, Love Never Dies.... THE LIST GOES ON! And I'm disgusted in the price they charge for tickets, like they're taking the piss and no show is worth nearly $1000 for a ticket (maybe Phantom but thats the only exception)!

I know this is an unpopular opinion but if lets say if someone offered me a free ticket I would decline and I never say no to an opportunity to seeing a show! Hopefully it won't run long in the West End and we can get another show in that is actually amazing! Or something new as new musicals are usually fabulous!

For now lets pray that Charlotte gets to New York soon to see Fun Home, maybe as an 18th Birthday early treat as I'm 18 this December!

Squad Adventures

Hi Everyone!

Well today I may or may not have woken up at 1.30pm and had to be out the house by 2.40pm so it was a mad rush to get ready and have something to eat before heading out to meet up with some of the Sweeney Squad and have a cheeky spoons! (Wetherspoons is a pub chain in the UK that does cheap and amazing food and drink, us northerners call it spoons!) Anyway I was meeting up with Izzy, Grace, Ethan and George from the Sweeney Squad who I absolutely love to bits and it seems like forever since we met up!

On my old blog there is a post about Sweeney Todd and the Squad if you want to read in detail about the many reasons why they are amazing humans! Sadly the others were busy today and couldn't meet up but I'm sure we will have a full squad reunion soon seeing as we have all broken up from school/college except Lauren who is letting the team down by being at work. Only joking I love her really! 

I can't actually explain how much I love these guys and how fabulous these humans are and that I am very lucky to have them in my life!

We went on an adventure to the Baltic Art Gallery but then ended up by the Quayside in Newcastle sat on deckchairs at this mini sand pit beach thing! We acted like 6 year olds playing in the sand and sipping on Starbucks because we are squad goals!

Literally today was so amazing and I can't wait for the next time but hopefully with all the squad for even more banter and fabulousness!

Sales and Cinema!

Hi Everyone!

If you don't already know I am a HUGE SHOPAHOLIC and I have at least one retail therapy session a week! I really should stop but recently I got a PayPal account and so I can now do more damage with online shopping. As the sales are on literally everywhere I couldn't not treat myself after finishing college for the year!

 The first bit of spending was online at Victorias Secret and was this sports bra that was in the sale and holy mother of jesus! It is stunning, i love the pattern and comfort it brings! Even though I don't have big boobs I like a sports bra with high impact and this one definitely is high impact and I cant wait to try it out next time at the gym! The only downside of Victorias Secret is the cost of shipping is ridiculous! The shipping was nearly the same price as the bra which isn't right, in my opinion!

 The next bit of damage was online from Zara and was this gorgeous bomber jacket with red and white cuffs and a beautiful floral pattern on the back! It is so comfy and I am truly in love with it! Ive been obsessed with bomber jackets this season and when I found this at Zara at such a cheap price, I couldn't say no! Its perfect for a casual jacket to throw on and Im so excited to wear it! I had never ordered anything from Zara online, but i have done a lot of spending in the actual shop, and even though it seemed to have taken forever to arrive the packaging was gorgeous and came in a beautiful box with tissue paper! So Zara, y'all are getting brownie points from me!

Also can we take a minute to see whats embroidered on the front?!? This is literally what I say all the time and is proof that me and this jacket are meant to be!

On a serious not I really need to stop spending money on clothes because I don't have a job and rely on my allowance to support my retail obsession! I am really gonna try hard and not spend AS MUCH to see if I can stop being a shopaholic but it probably won't work. Still I'm gonna try!

Today I went to the cinema to see 'Me Before You' and oh my lord! It was such a good movie! I loved it, even though it was so sad! But I didn't cry as I don't have a heart  though I can see why everyone else in the cinema was crying! If you have the time I seriously recommend you go and see it!

Wonderland 2016

 Hi Everyone!

Well I have finally got around to writing about my end of year show at college and what a journey it was! I can't believe that this time last week that we were all recovering from the mad crazy show day!

The whole experience was something that I've never really gone through doing a show and the rehearsal process had a lot of ups and downs and there were times where I thought I needed to call the Jeremy Kyle helpline but we all made it though and I was so proud of us as a class and the show that we put on!  We worked so hard to put on this pre show before the second years main show and that it was certainly an experience I won't forget! It brought me closer to certain friends and made our friendships even more fabulous! (They know who they are!) 

The pre show was of the 2011 musical Wonderland which didn't last long on Broadway. It is such a unique style of musical because it includes a variety of genres and styles of dance which is interesting af! The characters were Alice, The White Knight, The White Rabbit and the Ensemble who were all dressed as Alice in the blue dress and white apron which looked amazing!

 Whoever said acting was glamorous and makes you look attractive, have them look at this picture!

 This is from 'One Knight' where the boys were playing a boyband and we were the fangirls and this number was so much fun!

 I love this shot of the boys in there boyband formation and it looked so good! They made that number bloody fab!

But this show was also sad because one of my closest friends at college, Chelsea was leaving and is going on to do Photography and I know she will do amazing! I am gonna really miss her but I know we will stay in touch and we've already agreed that she will do my headshots for a much cheaper deal!

A Catch up and an Explanation

Hi Everyone!

So today I thought that I would explain the future of what happening with CharlotteNotes and a little catch up with whats been going on and the plan for future blog posts! 

I started a new proper website for my blog because I wanted to invest in this blog as it is a hobby for me and I felt that maybe trying a new platform could boost my blog and make it look all snazzy! (Hence the new design and layout!) I am also trying a new theme of my blog, but I am still going to have the same style of posts! I hope you can bare with me while I try to get this blog up and running! There will be a link in all my posts to my old blog so you will sill be able to read all my past posts and I also don't want to delete them as they are the foundation of CharlotteNotes and are a record of some really good memories which I personally will want to look back on.

For the future, I will be writing more frequent posts and they will be more fabulous and may even be posts like recipes and tutorials. For the next couple of weeks my posts are going to be about: The End of College, Wonderland Show and Summer plans (to name a few) and I can't wait to tell you about it all!

Anyway! I am currently so busy with finishing college and trying to make plans with friends, keep up the gym AND look for a job! Its so mainic but hopefully I'll soon get it under control.

Ive already had an interview for a hughstreet store but sadly didnt get it! I'm not too bothered though because it was my first interview and I was proud of myself for even getting the interview and there will probably be more in the future so maybe one day I'll be earning money!

Thats if we aren't totally screwed because of the EU Referendum results. I was fuming that the majority decided to leave so now I probably won't be able to afford living in London next year and my futures looking alot more scarier. So that is wonderful news and I hope people soon realise how screwed we now are!

Sorry to end on a bummer but anyway, I can't wait to keep blogging on this new website and to continue CharlotteNotes!

Avenue Q and Orange is the New Black

Hi Everyone!

What a busy week I have had! Literally I haven't stopped all week until today, which is why Im finally writing a blog post! It seems like ages since I have written a post and this is because last week at college was show week for our end of year pre show! I had early starts and late finishes but I only have 2 days left at college which means I am going to have more time to write on my blog and have more exciting posts! (I have exciting posts planned so keep your eyes open!)

Im going to write about Wonderland at a later date as that will probably be its own post but last night (Saturday) I went to see the Durham University production of Avenue Q and OMG it was fantastic! I had seen HMS Pinafore which was a while ago but again, was fantastic! 

I love Avenue Q as its such a funny and upbeat show and also rude at times. I saw the national tour when it came to Sunderland after years of listening to the soundtrack and fell in love with it! theres a song in the show called 'Theres a Fine Fine Line' and I sung to for my Grade 6 Singing Exam. Its basically the Muppets but for Adults and covers adult topics! Even if you don't like musicals you need to see this as it is hilarious!

Also can we just take a minute to appreciate Season 4 of Orange is the New Black?!? It came out on Friday and I have already watched the whole season on Netflix and OH. MY. GOD. Im not going to put any spoilers on here but y'all need to watch it! Seriously you need to watch it! Its one of the best TV shows I have ever watched!

I finish college on Tuesday so I will be able to blog after that but it may be around Thursday as I have my first Job Interview on Wednesday and may not have time, but fingers crossed I may be able to!
